We are curious too! We often wonder (and actually have hot debates about) what new kits we should bring to a trade show, and what modeling enthusiasts would like to see.
We'll use a direct approach:
we'll ask you. Here are two questions for everyone:
1) What kits (type and scale) you would like us to produce in the next future?
2) What are your three favorite kits currently in the Italeri catalog?
Send your opinions and replies to: idea [at] italeri [dot] com.
The ideas we'll receive will be published in the next issues of this newsletter to share them with other modeling enthusiasts.
Thank you.

Italeri kits
Simple all 1/72
All above repeated in 1/48 and 1/35
Hey !
I have just built aircrafts with Italeri.
But i want to build a 1/35 Sea King Mk43B
Helicopters have ruled warfare and SAR since it was invented !
Italeri wish list
1/48th and 1/35th:
HH-52A
H-34, with ASW and troop interiors, options for antenna suites, landing gear, and port cowl
H-19, with ASW and troop interiors, antenna suite options
I figure the aftermarket folks will come up with all the add-ons and civilian/commercial options.
Seconded!
I agree with Tony, especially on the following (my comments added in italics):
1/72
Upgraded Chinooks in 1/72 ie HC.2, 47F etc
Westland Scout/Wasp
Dauphins
Updated Super / Pumas (particularly the long cabin Super Puma versions, and markings to do G-JSAR)
Accurate Lynx kits

What I need!
What I really need is Italeri to send me replacement decals for a 1/48 scale B-25 Mitchell! Multiple e-mails for the request have gone unanswered. Sorry, had to get that out. I would be greatful to anyone that can offer advice or assistance on this issue.
On to business. I put my request in for a 1/72 scale Agusta/Westland AW139 and Bell 407.

My wish list
I sent an e-mail to idea [at] italeri [dot] com earlier and provided them with the following feedback:
(1) What kits would I like Italeri to produce in the future
I’d love to see the following:
(2) My favorite Italeri kits
I wish Italeri would re-start the production of kits 835 and 858. Also, would love to see an updated version for kits 842 and 844 (Eurocopter Tigre). These kits are in high demand, just see the prices on E-bay!!!
Italeri wish list
The Agustas might do it for the Italians I hope...

1/48 Modern Figures
Please produce some modern US Helicopter Pilot, Crew and Support Figures as well as Marines in loading positions (not in combat positions) to use in onboard dioramas and/or on deck situations - in 1/48, 1/72. Please provide some interior and/or exterior update sets for your existing kits - more details, photo etch, etc. Please offer conversion sets for turning Army/Navy into Marine Sets - gun mounts/kits, weapon sets, decals, also offer lift hooks on all helicopter models (i.e. MH-53E lifting a Humvee/supplies off).
Favorite kits: He-111, C-47, junkers 52

AH-1G!!!!
What I would really like to see is an ACCURATE AH-1G in ANY scale! I can't believe that the most eligant gunship ever produced has been so neglected for so long.
Next for me would be an ACCURATE UH-1C in 1/72 and 1/48 with the correct 540 rotor followed closely by and a accurate 1/72 UH-1D/H.

Italy
old boats?
how about some 1/350 kits of dreadnots and old kits of the olympic and other old battle wagons from 1809-1907 ? i love those kits.ihad alot of them as a kid and still love them .
All post WWII USN carriers
All post WWII USN carriers except Nimitz class. All in 1/700 scale so they go along with all the other ships in that scale.
Future model kits
It would be fantastic if you could develop kits that reflect the Mediteranean naval theatre of WWII. Kits of Italian Battleships, any of them, and HMS Valiant/Queen Elizabeth of Britain during the assault on Alexandria would be superb. I loved the 1/1200 series kits you have, but 1/700 or 1/600 would be the preferable type now. Thanks
I have already sent them a
I have already sent them a mail.
I'd like to see the following kits:
all in 1/35

Kits wanted
As a ship guy I would like to see:
Thanks.
1/35th and 1/350th
The existing 1/35th MTBs (and the future Vosper MTB) are fascinating kits, but would be good with additional figure and accessory kits. There are many more MTBs still awaited.
In 1/350th scale the Roma has been announced by another manufacturer, so other Italian and British WW2 ships in this scale would be commercially viable.
Good luck with whatever you produce.
More 1/350 ships
More 1/350 ships especially US modern crusiers eg the Nuclear cruisers and some replensiment ships and some of the non nulclear modern carriers that have been deactivated over then past 10-20 years
More 1/35 scale PT boats.
More 1/35 scale PT boats. How about another Kriegsmarine PT boat?
since im a ship guy,
since im a ship guy, personally, i'd like a Halifax-class frigate (doubt itll happen, though) a colony class or any British cruiser pretty much and also some pre-dreads like Carnot and Bouvet, all in 700. any chance of this ever happening?
Ships
I have a strong feeling that there is link to this "propeller-heads" page on a ship modeling site
Cheers,
Tim
Kits
Hey
First, its great to see a request for feedback!
I would love the following kits - all in 1/350
Any Italian, austro-hungarian or french navy vessel - from pre-dreadnought to ww2. Specific wishes are
Navigatori or Maestrale/Poeti/Soldati class destroyer, one of 600-800 ton escorts, one of "tre pipa" destroyers in ww1 and ww2 forms, Dante Alighieri dreadnought, different Condotieri cruisers for Italy,
Destoyers and cruisers for france, any! Including those turn of the century beauties!
Austro-hungarian ships - any! Viribus Unitis, Zenta, destroyers, pre-dreads... Maybe 250 tonner Torpedo boats in WW1 and WW2 fits.
And, a few injected plastic typical merchants for mediterranean area, to transport the supplies! Like Mantovani class freighters, or some turn of the century steamers.
1/32 scale
Hi all!!
Would like to see:
Eurocopter AS 350 in 1/32 scale.
Alouette III in 1/32 scale.
I build mostly 1/32 scale and only BO 105, EC 135 and BK 117 kits.
The Italeri BO 105 (601) is my favorite kit, but is no longer on the catalog.
Regards
Riaan
I think it's about time
I think it's about time Italeri would start producing some really unique kits like polish IIWW planes, for example:
All of them in 1/72. Reason? There are no good kits of these planes on the market nowadays.
I would also like to see a Mosquito kit, of course 1/72
regards

Get rid of MRC!
Please drop your importation contract with MRC!
This importation company is the biggest rip-off in the business. Italeri kits are way over-priced because of this company. There are many others to choose from, please use one and you will see a great increase in sales because of a much lower price. MRC has inflated the retail price of Iteleri model kits in the USA by at least an additional 30% above what they should be. This hurts the overall sales of Italeri products in the USA. If the retail price of Italeri kits were 30% lower, sales would be much stronger. This means more profits for Italeri, more kits produced, and more happy modelers!
Please look into this,
Steve Wiper
