Italeri wants to know what we want

We are curious too! We often wonder (and actually have hot debates about) what new kits we should bring to a trade show, and what modeling enthusiasts would like to see.

We'll use a direct approach:

we'll ask you. Here are two questions for everyone:

1) What kits (type and scale) you would like us to produce in the next future?

2) What are your three favorite kits currently in the Italeri catalog?

Send your opinions and replies to: idea [at] italeri [dot] com.

The ideas we'll receive will be published in the next issues of this newsletter to share them with other modeling enthusiasts.

Thank you.

AH-1G!!!!

What I would really like to see is an ACCURATE AH-1G in ANY scale!  I can't believe that the most eligant gunship ever produced has been so neglected for so long.

Next for me would be an ACCURATE UH-1C in 1/72 and 1/48 with the correct 540 rotor followed closely by and a accurate 1/72 UH-1D/H.

Future model kits

It would be fantastic if you could develop kits that reflect the Mediteranean naval theatre of WWII.  Kits of Italian Battleships, any of them, and HMS Valiant/Queen Elizabeth of Britain during the assault on Alexandria would be superb.  I loved the 1/1200 series kits you have, but 1/700 or 1/600 would be the preferable type now. Thanks

1/35th and 1/350th

The existing 1/35th MTBs (and the future Vosper MTB) are fascinating kits, but would be good with additional figure and accessory kits.  There are many more MTBs still awaited.

In 1/350th scale the Roma has been announced by another manufacturer, so other Italian and British WW2 ships in this scale would be commercially viable.

Good luck with whatever you produce.

Kits

Hey

First, its great to see a request for feedback!

I would love the following kits - all in 1/350

Any Italian, austro-hungarian or french navy vessel - from pre-dreadnought to ww2. Specific wishes are

Navigatori or Maestrale/Poeti/Soldati class destroyer, one of 600-800 ton escorts, one of "tre pipa" destroyers in ww1 and ww2 forms, Dante Alighieri dreadnought, different Condotieri cruisers for Italy,

Destoyers and cruisers for france, any! Including those turn of the century beauties!

Austro-hungarian ships - any! Viribus Unitis, Zenta, destroyers, pre-dreads... Maybe 250 tonner Torpedo boats in WW1 and WW2 fits.

And, a few injected plastic typical merchants for mediterranean area, to transport the supplies! Like Mantovani class freighters, or some turn of the century steamers.

1/32 scale

Hi all!!

Would like to see:

Eurocopter AS 350 in 1/32 scale.

Alouette III in 1/32 scale.

I build mostly 1/32 scale and only BO 105, EC 135 and BK 117 kits.

The Italeri BO 105 (601) is my favorite kit, but is no longer on the catalog.

I think it's about time

I think it's about time Italeri would start producing some really unique kits like polish IIWW planes, for example:

  • P.11c
  • PZL.23 Karas
  • PZL 37B Los

All of them in 1/72. Reason? There are no good kits of these planes on the market nowadays.

I would also like to see a Mosquito kit, of course 1/72 Wink

Get rid of MRC!

Please drop your importation contract with MRC!

This importation company is the biggest rip-off in the business. Italeri kits are way over-priced because of this company. There are many others to choose from, please use one and you will see a great increase in sales because of a much lower price. MRC has inflated the retail price of Iteleri model kits in the USA by at least an additional 30% above what they should be. This hurts the overall sales of Italeri products in the USA. If the retail price of Italeri kits were 30% lower, sales would be much stronger. This means more profits for Italeri, more kits produced, and more happy modelers!

Please look into this,

Steve Wiper
