Very interesting to know is from which country forum-members are? Scale-rotors is first foreign site for me, where I can communicate with modelists from other places of the world.
Hi all. I'm living in a small village in upper austria. It's called Geboltskirchen. Is away about 80 km from Salzburg (northeastward)respectively Linz (westward). So right in the middle of nowhere - but thankfully there is internet. Next modellers association is away 20km (www.mbf-ried.at)
I'm living in Schwetzingen, Germany. It's a small town near Heidelberg (now that should put us on the map for most people ;-) ) and I'm building, collecting and reviewing model kits in 1:72 and 1:144 scale. Although I collect/build no specific time frame nor nationality, it mainly comes down to post WWII military equipment of western origin.
While I may not log in every day, I DO check this site out several times a day. Seeing all the great work is very inspiring! It's great to see where all of you are.
Hi everyone, I'm in Canada!!! I've only built 2 helicopter models several years ago, but am fascinated by them. I have many unbuilt kits collected, hopefully I find the time to work on them. Most of my models are fixed wing.
I have long had a love of Helicopters. There is a lot of helio activity here and many many companys operate them here for many reasons, especially Deer recovery, spray work and just commuting long distances. We see several every day in daily life. I have worked for a couple of companys doing crew work etc in the past. Now with a busy managers job and a family, modelling them has become my prime aviation interest. Cheers for a great site too.
hello, I'm from Southport up here in the NorthWest of England sandwiched inbetween Liverpool and Preston. I regularly use all the other forums on FSM and ARC and go by either Richuk or richgb, so for a change I thought I'd go by amboman102 (my job and vehicle call sign). I love building all helis and also braille scale armour. On the bench at the mo is a 1/72 M113 ACAV and hopefully starting anyday soon (when my boys go back to school) will be a KP Mi-8 in Czech livery.
Anyway, nice to meet all you guys from around the world. Regards,
I'm from Laval, about 5 minutes north of Montreal. Grew up around helicopters all my live as my dad was an AME for 45 + years and building models since before the dawn of time ( 35 +years) Presently still in unpacking mode after a big move a few months ago, slowly getting around to setting-up my work space. New work space will be approx. triple my old space so taking my time to set it up right as we don't plan on moving again. Before the move I had 3 models in the works--a wasp to scout conv,a mi-8, both 1/48 and a 1/100 ch-53. Will be posting pics shortly.
Kia ora. I am a prolific model builder. I mainly build choppers but my other interest is Eastern block and weird and obscure air forces.
Every weekend I sit out on my veranda watching an air show! I am next Ardmore airfield which is a centre for warbirds and civil choppers. It's hell but someones got to do it!
I live in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States, Central Point, Oregon. It's about a 5 hour drive South of Portland, and about 45 minutes North of the California border. Central Point is where Erickson Air-Crane is located. When they're not stationed all over the world fighting fires and logging trees, I have the pleasure of seeing the S-64's fly around our valley.
Scale Rotors is such a great website. I like all of the reviews, useful building information from everyone, and seeing what everyone is building. I too enjoy visiting with other helicopter modelers from all over the world, thanks to HKN, ARC, and now Scale Rotors. I appreciate the time and energy Tim puts into pulling it all together. Hey Gang!
Some of you already know me as AirMedical on the other hobby forums.
It's great to see another dedicated scale model helicopter site. Very well done!
I build 1/32 (1/35) and 1/48 (1/50) civilian helicopters. Primarely air medical but police, offshore, VIP are forth coming.
I love to scratch build using styrene sheet stock (fabricate or vac form), balsa or Sculppy Putty. If it doesn't exist; make it.
I do my own decal artwork and have it printed up via. Fireball Model Works.
I have several projects on the bench and a stock pile of kits waiting.
Here's my hobby Web page called The Aeromedical Post. www.hometown.aol.com/johneagle777
I collect air medical, police air rescue pins and build helicopter models. Some of my work is posted.
Be safe and be well.
John
