This is the 1/72 Mi-35 Superhind mk3 ATE demonstrator built with the Hobbyboss Mi-24V Hind E and adding the Scaleworx resin conversion, which now includes the PALL airfilters. The Hobbyboss kit is very pleasant in construction. Conversions are always a good challenge.

Congratulations John!!

Hi John:

The kit looks wonderful and your job was magnificent!! it really did justice to the original I saw in internet some days ago, but yours look nicer. The add-ons from Scaleworx give the model more pressence of a special touch and appeal to the original design. Do you have a distribuitor of Scaleworx here in America?

Thanks for sharing it with us,

Cheers!!

Mi-35 Superhind

Hi PONCHO,

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunatly only the Luchvaart Aviation Megastore in the Netherlands, as they are the international distributors for ScaleWorx. I hope more countries around the world operating Hinds will consider the upgrade. Algeria already operates the Superhind mk.3, but I think a Russian version will look pretty cool.

Cheers

Superhind..

Nice work bladerunner. With all that extra weight up front and the ballast to counter it, how is the the overall performance of the Superhind compared to the Mi-24? Not my cup of tea when it comes to choppers but it is very cool and ugly and mean looking all at the same time.

regards, alouette2 ( Chris)

Superhind

Hi Chris,

the ballasts you are referring to, is actually the Doppler radar and the CHAFF/Flare dispenser. The superhind mk.3 is 2 tonnes lighter than the Mi-24, and the performance is excellent and can fly just over 300Km/h. The speed is not the key issue though, but the weapons system and avionics is the true success of the upgrade, and ofcourse one will crap yourself if you are on the wrong end barrel, facing that look that only a mother could love. Thanks for the compliments.

Cheers

Excellent Job. It looks awesome!

Congrats, Blade

You did a wonderful job. Like most of us here, I wasnt aware of this conversion set and i love it. The SuperHind looks so ugly you just can't stop staring at it and somehow that makes it more attractive ...if it makes sense!?

Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.

Thanks FAB,

You are right about the looks, and it grows on you. You must see this "Thing" in real life, its even more scary. I've had the priveledge to sit in the cocpit at Africa Arospace and Defence expo in 2006. Result... couldnt stop smiling.

Thanks guys,

The nationals was great, and above all, to see old friends again from all over the country. If it was a beauty contest, neither me or the Superhind had a chance...lol
