1/72 Italeri RAH-66 Comanche

This is the Italeri RAH-66 Comanche in 1/72 scale. The original Italeri kit was modified. I added some extra details in the cockpit area. Also the wheels bays received some attention.

The air intake received a metalic mesh fom PlusModel. The machinegun was scratchbuilt using needles and the missiles were modified as well. Hydraulic wires were added to the landing gear.

The decals are a mix from the kit's decalsheet and some other from Fireball Modelworks. The paints I used are from Humbrol and Vallejo. I have not applied a lot of weathering because it was not the right option for this aircraft.

Although it never was taken into production the model still looks great. Nicely built and perfect presentation Francisco. !

They stoped the program from many reasons in 2004, but like you say the kit still looks great. The model have a few month finished, and the base is from HONASHobbies. Thanks again for the comment Jan!
