CH-46D Sea Knight

Again a high quality kit by  Academy, this 1/48 CH-46D Sea Knight version.

The kit itself is great and following the instructions it will be come a very impressive model and again with the help of the Cobra Company update-set one can make the model even more realistic. The decalset of this helo is great, the American flag drapped over the nose makes it very coloufull. It’s also the reason why I built this D model instead of the Marine E version.

There's one thing you have to take care when painting the model and that’s the exact lines where to spray the blue on the nose as otherwise it can be seen through the red and white stripes. All paints I used are Tamiya spraycans, also the blue.

The figures on the flght deck are mostly by Hasegawa, Verlinden and some scratch ones.

As I said before a great 1/48 model and just not too big, for a twin rotor helo, to have it in the collection.
