My eyes fell on this rather exotic machine while watching the movie "Rocketeer", Howard Hughes pilots ths autogiro to a burning Zeppelin and saves the two heroes. I was very pleased that Williams Models released this 1/48th scale model of the Pitcairn Autogiro PCA 1 rather than releasing the 99th replica of a Messerschmidt.

Next to the excellent kit I used Eduard photoetched parts, pieces of spare decals to make the cockpit look busy and added extra details from scratch like cables and other smaller pieces.
