Belgian Air Force, 40 Squadron Koksijde
The Sea King Helicopter from the company Sweet in scale 1/144 was a fun project to build. The nice kit has markings for 3 different machines. I decided to build RS-01 of the 40th Squadron of the Belgian Air Force. This helicopter is stationed next to the small coast town of Koksijde, one of its tasks is flying rescue missions over the North Sea and channel.
Other Sea Kings will follow.

Koksijde Rescue
Oh I love the Seaking and especially the belgian one. As a kid I was often at the belgian coast. Looking at those great Seakings flying low over the coast-line was great. And they make a lot of noise. Sometimes the diver or winchmaster were in the cargo door, then we waved like crazy hoping to get a response. Sometimes we did, but could have been to some nice girls on the beach as well :-)
The belgian Seaking was featured in a TV series called "Windkracht 10, Koksijde Rescue", later there was a full movie of it as well.
Here is the official website, including a trailer:
Very nice Sea King!
I think the scale is very small for make builds so nice like you did!!!!! 'S Wonderful!!!!
Thanks also for the advice of the movie!!!!! I was looking around to make one of my Airfix Sea Kings and found a lot of photos in AIRLINERS.NET to make it,
Best wishes for 2009, Work, health and lot of models to do!!!!!
