Begemot Decals from Russia announces this impressive decalsheet for the Mil Mi-26 Halo in scale 1/72. It will give you around 40 different options for both civil and military Halo operators from around the world.

The decals include markings and stencilling for the outside and inside of this impressive helicopter. The intended kits are the new Zvezda Mi-26 and the upcomming Revell reboxing of the Zvezda kit in scale 1/72. The lay-out of the shown decals will change as Begemot is currently working on the sheet to add some more options.

Pricing is not yet known, release date should be January 2009. But this is not yet sure

...which one to choose

....that is what I call a comprehensive set of decals, however, maybe it should have been sold as two sets, 1) military and 2) civilian. I can't see many people building more than one of these monsters possibly two at the most, so there will be a lot of decals left over. I suppose you could always sell on the set but would you get your money back? Maybe use them on "what if"  projetcs...how about an Aeroflot chinook or CH-53

Which is your favourite livery? I'm a bit partial to any heli with teeth. There is a colour pic of one with the mouth in the Red Star book Mil's Heavy Lift Helicopters which looks pretty cool
